Biography:Dr. Hyeona Lim is an Associate Director for the Center for Computational Sciences (CCS) and an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Mississippi State University. She received her Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics from Michigan State University in 2001. She also earned M.S. degree in Mechanics from Michigan State in 2000. She held a position as a Post-doctoral Associate, Michigan State University, 2001-2003 and worked as an Assistant Professor, Mississippi State University, 2003-2010.

Research Interest: Numerical Analysis and Scientific Computation -- Image Processing (Denoising and Segmentation) and Wave Propagation
