The Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant Legal Program and the Northern Gulf Institute present: WEBINAR: Gulf States' Seaward Boundary Changes- Implications for Gulf Fisheries Management. The event will be held Thursday, September 27 at 1:30 pm Central. This is a free webinar, and participation is first-come, first-served. Pre-registration is not required.
Participation is limited to the first 100 registrants.
Louisiana recently passed statutes and made proclamations to extend its state's seaward boundary for fisheries resources purposes. The change could have important reef fisheries management and non-resident fishing access implications. Several legal and fisheries resource management experts will discuss the importance of this change and related reactions by adjoining Gulf States.
