Biomedical Computing Cross-Training Seminar Schedule - Spring Semester 2003

Jan 10 - Toxicant Disposition and Metabolism (Jan Chambers, CVM)
Physiologically-Based Pharmacokinetic Modeling (Cory Langston, CVM)

Jan 31 - Epidemiology [Powerpoint Slideshow] (Bob Wills, CVM)
Computational Modeling of Protein-Ligand Interactions (Steve Gwaltney, Chemistry)

Feb 14 - Biological Modeling with Partial Differential Equations (Seth Oppenheimer, Math)
         Control Systems (Mohsen Razzaghi, Math)

During the spring semester, in connection with MSU's NIH NPEBC planning grant,
there'll be a full slate of Friday afternoon seminars given by MSU faculty in
the interest of cross-training for biological, physical, and computational
scientists related to biomedical computing research. These seminars will be
deliberately low-level, with the purpose of engendering understanding across
disciplines.

Each Friday afternoon session will start at 2:00 (each talk about 1 hour and 15
minutes) and will last the rest of the working day, with refreshments thrown in
The location is Room 30 of the ERC, where parking is easy.

These seminars will be videotaped so that you can catch up, or have another
look, as you may wish.
