Submissions will be accepted on Late Breaking ``Hot Topics'' that pertain to all areas of
Visualization as either Papers or Case Studies. (See the description in the IEEE Visualization '98
Call for Participation .) These submissions must be original, may show work in
progress, and may not exceed 2000 words or a maximum of 4 pages including images. Images
and/or NTSC VHS video to accompany the paper are recommended; the video may be included in
the conference videotape. Accepted papers will be distributed at the conference in a
printed form as well as on the conference CD-ROM. Authors of accepted papers will have an
opportunity to submit a revised paper and a new or revised video.
The preferred submission format is Adobe Acrobat PDF which can be generated using
Adobe Exchange, Adobe Distiller, and Adobe Acrobat 3.0 (see Adobe web-site for further
information http://www.adobe.com ). If you cannot
generate pdf format files we will accept postscript format documents as a last resort.
Please compress (.Z), gzip (.gz) or Winzip (.zip) files. Electronic submissions will be
accepted via anonymous ftp to the following site:
butler.hpl.hp.com /incoming-vis98,
using the following filenaming convention:
PrimaryAuthorLastname_FirstInitialMiddleInitial_FileNumber.filetype
