Mississippi State's Alumnus magazine highlights the Geosystems Research Institute's GIS Training for Tribal Populations Project, a partnership with the U.S. Department of Interior's Bureau of Indian Affairs. The partnership empowers native communities with skills to enhance resource management and cultural preservation for the further development of tribal lands.
