Evaluating Toe Erosion and Streambank Instability with BSTEM Model for Yonaba Creek

Celik, K., & Ramirez-Avila, J. J. (2016). Evaluating Toe Erosion and Streambank Instability with BSTEM Model for Yonaba Creek. 4th Research World International Conference. Istanbul, Turkey.

Streams and rivers has a majority of sediment from streambank erosion. By using Bank Stability and Toe Erosion Model (BSTEM), toe erosion and streambank stability analysis is performed for Yonaba Creek. For that study two different streambanks (left and right sides) evaluated considering two different flow and two different tension crack. The purpose of this paper is to indicate the application of BSTEM as a valid model for observing and quantifying the streambank condition for a restoration process and evaluate the effects of different flow depth and tension crack on stream stability.
