Re-engineering DMGFIT - Fitting Material Constants to Internal State Variable Models

Carino, R.L., Horstemeyer, M., & Burton, C. (2007). Re-engineering DMGFIT - Fitting Material Constants to Internal State Variable Models. MSU.CAVS.CMD.2007-R0040. Mississipi State University: CAVS.

Summary: This report describes the re-engineering of DMGfit to address issues raised by users of the software at CAVS-CMD in Mississippi State University. The outcome of the effort is a modularized DMGfit that is accessible on a larger set of computational platforms, including stand-alone personal laptops. The upgraded GUI provides functionality more supportive of the work patterns of the researchers, such as the export/import of material properties to/from an ABAQUS input deck, extraction of stress-strain data from Instron dumps and legacy data files, writing of results to text files for post-processing, and the recording of a DMGfit session for later restart or re-examination.
