The paper describes the integration and an industrial application of a mechanical motion capture system and computer-based ergonomics analysis. In this study, software was developed integrating data from the Gypsy motion capture system with ergonomics analysis. Two industrial lifting tasks were analyzed with this system in the actual industrial environments. The study developed an accessible and affordable system for small- and medium-sized companies to benefit from motion capture technology for ergonomics purposes.
