This Technical Note describes an approach to estimating the amount of sediment that passes through an estuary inlet in the Gulf of Mexico in terms of sediment yield per year. Estimated values for the Weeks Bay estuary and the approach taken to obtain the values are provided as guidance for other estuaries.
