Biography
Seungdeog Choi has received his B.S. degree from Chung-Ang University in 2004, M.S. degree from Seoul National University, South Korea in 2006 in Electrical and Computer Engineering, respectively. He has earned Ph.D. degree in electric power and power electronics program at Texas A&M University, College Station in 2010. He was with LG electronics, Seoul, Korea from 2006 ~ 2007 and with Toshiba International Corp., Houston, Tx, US, from 2009~2012 as research engineer. He was assistant professor at The University of Akron from 2012~2018. Currently, he is associate professor at Mississippi State University, Starkville from 2018~present.
Research Interest
The key word of his research is the "reliability". Thus, his research covers degradation modeling, fault tolerant control, and the fault tolerant design of electric machines, power electronics, battery, solar panel, and wider vehicular /aircraft microgrid systems. He has published more than 100 articles including around 90 peer-reviewed IEEE conferences and journal papers (published/under review), around 20 patents (registered/pending), and co-authored book.
