Biography
Dawn Van Iderstine is a research engineer in the Engineering Mechanics and Materials Science (EMMS) group at the Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems (CAVS) at MSU. She received her Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State University in 2022. Prior to that, she completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2020. Her research involves the microstructural development and characterization of metallic alloys, with emphasis on Gleeble thermomechanical simulation, strain rate dependence, and diffraction-based microstructure analyses.
